First time ever taking my Nissan to Gil's, check engine light was on, among other issues, it was basically hitting the skids. I was able to rely on Gil's to give me the straight up truth, no B.S. Just honesty when asked that, if it was their kid driving this car, would it be safe for them...and I got the truthful answer - that it would not be a safe vehicle to continue with, it was time to stop throwing good money after bad, and get another vehicle, which I did. THANK YOU for preventing me from continuing with The Money Pit. We worked out a deal where they could keep the money for the scrap to pay for my diagnostic on the vehicle...after it was scrapped Gil's contacted me to let me know that I still had a CREDIT balance from the scrap after the diagnostic was paid for. Their honesty was very much appreciated !

My visit to Gil’s Garage went very smoothly. My 2010 Forester was in for NYS inspection, oil change and general pre-winter check-up and maintenance. All was done in a timely manner while I waited in the cheery waiting room, feeling very comfortable and safe in regard to the precautions taken by the staff in regard to COVID.

We’ve had our cars serviced at Gil’s in Clifton Park for many years. It’s easy to get an appointment and we’re more than pleased with the service that is done on our cars-from a routine oil change to a more complex mechanical problem. We highly recommend them for any auto repairs that may be needed.

We just started doing business with John at this location. I have a small fleet of 6 vehicles and John has been doing great for us. Always keeps us updated on the progress of the repairs. I can't be without a vehicle for a long time and they take great care of getting them back to me in a timely fashion.

I called John H. late monday evening with a semi emergency and asked when I could drop my car off...he said how soon can I be there? Left the car,they did the needed repairs in a timely fashion and perfectly. whenever people ask me where I get my car service/repairs done I tell them where and why...GIL'S that's where.
